Cinema plays a vital role in our life. Cinema is a mirror of the society of any country or any  place.Indian cinema has long history and today a lot of movies are produced in India in different languages and different budgets . From small scale to large scale we have a lots of movies in rows.
DadaSaheb Phalke, who is known as Father if Indian cinema .
Raja Harishchandra was the first Indian movie produced by him in 1913.He pursued art

for his graduation and done a different jobs  like Photographer , draftman and other. But his life was turned to a new leaf after watching a silent movie, and that was the time when he moves  towards film.And he decided to make movies based on Indian culture after his success he moves on and made many movies and short films. Like Bhasmasur in year 1913, Lanka Dahen  in 1917 and many others in the row.
In his career he had made aprox 95 movies and 25 short movies .Alamara first Indian sound movie was directed by him in the year 1931.
Toaday most of the youth wants to enter in the industry called Bollywood.
A lot of youth comes to Mumbai with a hope in there eyes to be an actor
But at that time the condition was not same. It was very hard to convince people to face camera in India because of the myth that; the camera suck the energy from ones body which may lead to person's death. Dadasaheb brought the camera and real and to test how its work he planted some pea in pot and started framing it .he shot one frame  one day and after a month he produces a film of one minute and it was The Growth Of Pea Plant.
And the struggle does not stopped here, after he decided to make a movie based on Rajaharishchandra  he published an advertisement in news paper but no women were ready to act in movie so male artist  performed the role of female.But at last the movie was overed and it was shown in  olympia theater of Mumbai in year 1913 of 21 April. And from here the story of bollywood was started..
